Who We Are
It all started in Australia. An American walks into a bar. She’s surprised to find that the bartender is also American. They talk, exchange numbers, become friends — and a few years later, decide to create a women’s clothing line to change the paradigm of consumption.
Shannon is put together. She wears pearl earrings and her socks always match, but she can’t cook to save her life. She’s a good writer but would rather be a great painter. She reads Oprah’s books, but she reads the Dalai Lama’s too. She’ll do almost anything if it will make a good story. She believes in wandering even when you’re not lost, and she doesn’t believe in ‘what ifs.’ She used to argue for fun, but now she argues for change. In a few words: a pragmatic idealist.
Kristin is not so put together. She gets accused of being hipster. And she loves New Orleans. She is a better listener than speaker. She thinks that nice things are nice, but nice memories are better. Travel inspires her to be a minimalist, and owning a bike instead of a car makes her feel good inside. Her biggest love is chocolate chip cookies and her biggest fear is the suburbs. She is bored with contemporary American fashion but fascinated by contemporary American art. In two words: quietly outgoing.
We created All of Us to share our journey as we take off on a global adventure to start a socially-sustainable business. But it’s not just about the two of us, it’s about ALL of us. We know there are others out there who want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves or the corporation we work for.
Write to us. Comment. Suggest. Share the differences you’re making, too. This is a place for All of Us.
